What sets them apart
Most small agencies work the same way: a LinkedIn search done by hand, a spreadsheet with each candidate and their stage, and a job board posting to bring in applications. It works, and it costs little. What it costs is hours: opening profile after profile, copying details into the spreadsheet and putting together by hand what you send your client.
Reclee does the volume. You ask it for the search, it looks through more than 800 million profiles, scores each one against your criteria and leaves you a ranked longlist, with the reasons in view. The ones you pick move into the ATS with their stage, and your client views their shortlist without paying for a seat.
| Reclee vs LinkedIn, a spreadsheet and job boards | Reclee | LinkedIn, spreadsheet and job boards |
|---|---|---|
| Finding people who didn't apply | Brings you a longlist from 800M+ profiles | By hand on LinkedIn, profile by profile |
| Scoring against your criteria | Match Score with the reasons for each criterion | Your judgment, one at a time |
| Tracking each candidate | An ATS with its stages | One spreadsheet per search |
| Receiving applications | Your careers page, each one with its Match Score | One inbox per job board |
| Presenting to your client | Branded shortlist; your client views it for free | A PDF or an email |
| Clients and orders | A CRM that shares its database with the ATS | Another spreadsheet |
| What it costs | ATS, CRM and careers page free; to search, from USD 39 per recruiter | LinkedIn and the spreadsheet free; the job board, per posting |
The people who aren't on job boards
A posting brings in whoever is looking that week. According to Employ's 2025 survey, 58% of professionals aren't actively looking for a job, and 85% are open to other opportunities. A job board doesn't find those people: you find them by looking. We go into it on the blog.
What it costs
Reclee's ATS, CRM and careers page are free, for up to three recruiters. To go out and search, Starter is USD 39 per recruiter per month billed yearly, with up to 1,200 profiles reviewed with AI a month, and Pro is USD 99, with up to 3,000. You can start with what's free, bring your spreadsheets over, and pay only in the month you want Reclee to search for you.
Where the usual way wins
- You know it already and it costs nothing. LinkedIn and a spreadsheet are free, and your whole team knows how to use them.
- Job boards bring in people who are looking. For high-volume roles they're still the channel. Reclee doesn't post your jobs on job boards: your careers page is yours, but the board is still separate.
- The message comes from your account. On LinkedIn you write from your own profile and with your own network, and that opens doors.
- If you run one search a year, adding a tool isn't worth it.
When to choose which
If you run few searches and your network is enough, keep going. If you have more searches than hours, Reclee does the first pass for you and leaves you the part that matters: talking to people and choosing.
